Botox and Fillers
Smile Stylist offers Botox and dermal fillers to their patients. We look at total facial aesthetics at Smile Stylist and understand the lips and face are the frame for the teeth. We have advanced training in delivering Botox to the most common sites including the forehead, crows feet and glabellar area. We also have special training in delivering botox in areas around the mouth to help remove fine lines, lip stick bleed lines and even gummy smiles. Botox can also be delivered to the muscles such as the masseter to help reduce the size of the muscle and the effects of powerful clinching and grinding on wearing down and breaking natural teeth and porcelain crowns and veneers. Botox can also be delivered to the other muscles around the head to relieve headaches associated with TMJ dysfunctions.
Fillers are a natural fit for the Smile Stylist practice. We use fillers to enhance the look of lips as part of the person’s overall smile. You can’t ignore the lips as the frame for the teeth. We are able to make teeth look beautiful and with help of Botox and fillers like Juvederm and Restylane, we can augment the lips to enhance the smile. Natural looking enhancements, as always is very important to our overall aesthetic at Smile Stylist. We have taken advanced training in lip augmentation procedures given by the top clinicians in UK and United States.
Are Botox and Fillers for dentists? Dentists take gross anatomy with medical students while in dental school, but dentists spend more time on the head and neck area. Dentists also work in and around the mouth every day and have intimate knowledge of the facial muscles and how they effect the smile. In a dental office such as Smile Stylist, we have the time to properly integrate Botox and dermal fillers into our practice. Dentists also are very comfortable with injections. Consumers can also get Botox and dermal fillers from OB-GYN’s, internal med docs, nurses, medical estheticians and physicians assistants. Dr. Jason and Colleen Olitsky not only are dentists that have made smiles and facial aesthetics their passion, they have advanced training to better treat the whole face with Botox and dermal fillers, thereby making total facial aesthetics part of the smile.
Finally, there is a solution for people with gummy smiles that does not include painful surgery and down time. Botox can be carefully administered into the correct muscles to relax the over active muscle and reduce the maximum lip hight at full smile. From speaking to patients who have excessive gingival display at full smile, they are concerned about the appearance, but have been told that the only way to correct the gummy smile was jaw surgery. Another option for people with a gummy smile is a small amount of Botox.
